Exegesis

For my central node, I chose Blog because it reaches more audiences compare to the rest. People prefer to read journals and see pictures at the same time because bloggers are like journalist of their life, telling their audience what is new, updating events and promoting certain interesting things. Meanwhile, I chose Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus as my contribution note for my Web Communication Assignments.

Blog is what attract me first because I have seen so many blogs and it is always something new. People who have common interest will update themselves to keep up with the trend. It can also be blog about life where it gives advices or sharing experience with their audiences. For my blog, it is about performances. I have come across varieties of flyers and posters about performances and competitions. Performance does not have to be the same; it can be singing, dancing, acting, or basically letting the world know about one’s talent in certain things. By using blog, I can share experiences and advices to people who have the same interest as I am. Blogs are where people share their expertise (Scocco, n.d).

Anybody can say anything in their blog because it is their journal. Posting and publishing anything they like without any charges applied. Free and informative, that’s what people are aiming for. Artists or people who are involve in performing arts do have blog where they can promote certain events or telling their audience what is new. Bloggers get popular and able to expand their interest and this is one of the reason why I prefer blog to be my central node.

Just by typing information and uploading pictures won’t attract much viewers, with the existing of blog, I can design my layout the way I desire it. Background, Font and layout that I think suit the topic of my blog to enhance it. Creativity is an essential tool when it comes to getting attentions of the world.

I chose performance because I have been loving performances since I was a kid. My mother will dress me up, because we believe feeling good and looking good enhances the mood to perform better; I think that is one of the reason why people always dress up when they go on stage because it sharpen one’s confident.

I choose a glimmering shinning background because it looks like dimmed spotlight which means a start is on its way to shine. One step closer in achieving their life goal and the light will get brighter step by step. It also looks like fairytale movie where fairy god mother will sprinkle shimmering magical dust on the princess so she can be on her way to become whom she was supposed to be. Magical and creative, that is what I am aiming for.

As I mentioned earlier, I chose Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus as my contribution note because with these social network, I can expand my blog to wake up my audience about their inner talent; gift from god. People uses social network to communicate with each other, so by including Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus as my contributing note, I can reach out to mass audiences and share my thoughts, opinions and experiences with them. Twitter is an online broadcaster that promote certain news with just a click (Gill, 2012)
